Despite what some agencies might like you to think, PR is
not rocket science. Just ask any journalist – we have. It
takes equal parts creativity, hard work and meticulous
follow-through to rise above the noise. But at the end of
the day, PR is simply about establishing a clear message,
correctly positioning the offering and communicating the
benefits. In other words, telling the right audience the
specific advantages in the simplest possible terms.
Unfortunately, many PR programs are designed to make as
much noise as possible in the hope that some will be
noticed. That’s fine if you’ve got a huge budget and lots
