AI data centers and the electrification of the economy are driving explosive growth in the demand for energy, far outpacing the construction of new power plants. Alva Energy has devised a way to unlock up to 10GW of capacity from the existing nuclear power plant fleet on a much faster timeline and at a much lower cost than building new plants. As the company emerged from stealth with a significant funding round, it wanted to reach power and AI industry decisionmakers.
Building on its experience working with other energy-focused clients, Voxus pitched a first run exclusive of Alva’s funding news to a Wall Street Journal energy reporter we’ve worked with previously. The story struck a nerve, as community concerns about the impact of data center development on electricity prices was hitting a fever pitch.
