The Challenge
Photon Queue needed to introduce an unfamiliar but essential category of quantum infrastructure while announcing two major company milestones only one week apart. The campaign had to give each announcement a distinct purpose, avoid competing storylines, and translate complex quantum memory technology into a compelling business narrative.
Voxus developed a two-part communications strategy. The campaign began with Photon Queue’s $500,000 New Mexico grant announcement, establishing the company’s presence in a growing quantum technology hub. Voxus secured a feature in the Albuquerque Journal that positioned Photon Queue as foundational infrastructure for the quantum computing industry and connected its expansion to New Mexico’s economic development ambitions.
One week later, Voxus launched Photon Queue’s oversubscribed $4 million seed round with an anchor feature in the Chicago Business Journal. The story highlighted the company’s hiring plans, early customer deployments and intention to expand within the Illinois quantum ecosystem. Broader outreach generated more than 20 additional articles and newsletter mentions spanning business, venture capital, technology, data center and quantum publications. Photon Queue appeared in prominent investor newsletters including Axios Pro Rata, Fortune Term Sheet, StrictlyVC and WSJ Pro Venture Capital. Coverage consistently went beyond the financing details to emphasize Photon Queue’s room-temperature technology, commercial traction and role in solving a major bottleneck for scalable quantum systems.
