VDURA x The Mountain
VDURA had the biggest turn out at their booth, thanks to one of the world’s strongest men and Game of Thrones star, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson aka “The Mountain”, who set a record by deadlifting 282.624 petabytes (PB) of solid-state drives. All eyes were on The Mountain and VDURA during this feat and it stood out as a highlight in the many conversations we had at the show.
NVIDIA Demonstrates Scientific Capabilities
NVIDIA’s presence was absolutely felt at SC24. The company demonstrated the power of its AI tools and how it aims to transform industries like biopharma and climate science. Most notably, NVIDIA is advancing AI-driven drug discovery for researchers and allowing them powerful tools tailored specifically for pharmaceutical applications. In our video above, the NVIDIA model demonstrates DiffDock 2.0, a breakthrough tool for predicting how drugs bind to target proteins — critical for drug discovery.
Valvoline Debuts High Performance Cooling Systems
Valvoline, debuted its high-performance liquid cooling solutions using branded oil barrels to showcase their new line of cooling fluids designed to cool computers running AI and crypto mining applications. Their booth garnered a lot of attention, with many attendees surprised to see the company that changes the oil in their cars stepping into the HPC world.
